First Aid at Work Requirements
Since 1981 it has been a legal requirement that employers have trained First Aiders in the workplace. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 place a responsibility on all employers to provide adequate and appropriate first aid provision for their employees.
St. Andrew's Ambulance Association has been teaching first aid in the community since 1882, and our standards of training are being continually updated to meet the criteria laid down by the Health and Safety Executive. Our professional Trainers are fully qualified to ensure your employees fulfill the first aid requirements.
St. Andrews Ambulance Association is a Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Accredited Training Centre. In addition the Association has a SQA First Aid Trainer/Assessor Award.
